Young Church For Children
We currently have four Young Church (or Sunday School) classes, which start midway through our Sunday morning service and are led by a dedicated team of DBS-checked leaders. We follow the Go Teach three-year Bible syllabus. Each class looks at the same Bible story in an age-appropriate way. The children enjoy a mixture of singing, crafts, drama and a snack.
Once children reach year 9 we encourage them to stay in for the sermon. To help concentration, we provide them with ‘Youth Quest’ to work their way through the sermon (see example below).
Younger children can pick up ‘Primary Puzzles’ to use before they leave for their classes (see example below).
Sparrows, Larks & Owls
Sparrows is for those from three years old to School Year 1, Larks is for those in School Years 2 and 3, and Owls is for School Years 4 and 5.
Eagles
Eagles is for School Years 6 to 8.
